Hellboy has gone global and appeared in many other international feature films, series, novels and comic books.

  • Sin City: Hell and Back: In the middle of a hallucination sequence.

  • Babe 2: Featured character of Abe Sapien
  • Dogma (1999): on a t-shirt
  • Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
  • Anno Dracula by Kim Newman: Hellboy is deemed a ‘borrowed character’ in the series.
  • Andy Warhol’s Dracula (2004): together with characters such as Blade,  The Punisher, Paul Kersey, Travis Bickle, Shaft and Scooby-Doo, he takes it upon himself to hunt Jonny Pop (illustrated as a vampire drug dealer)

Hellboy Recognition

Alan Moore, the highly acclaimed comic-writer included Hellboy: Wake the Devil (vol.2) on his “Recommended By..” page.  He stated that it was:
